RULES AND INFO

✦ Everything must be from an IC in-world perspective. The meme is specifically a Legion fandom meme. UP citizens, Legion World Staff, and Legionnaires all have access to the meme. While this meme is in the meme comm, it is real in the game universe and all the Legionnaires and the public can see it ICly. Rather than other ic anon memes where characters post starters to the meme, this meme operates like real world memes like rpanons.

✦ There are 3 ways to post. When posting as non-Legionnaires, do it anon. When posting as Legionnaires that ~~unwisely~~ comment unanon, just do it logged in. If posting as Legionnaires going anon, do it logged in, but mark "anon" in the subject, so we know it's anon, but can have a laugh over which Legionnaires are secretly stanning or shitposting.

✦ Not necessarily a rule, but keep in mind that attitudes in the UP are different than our world. Most people are referred to generally as "people" or "sentients" instead of species-specific terms like "humans." Most racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, and other "ist" attitudes are now uncommon among most species in the UP. Many sexual orientations exist, polyamory and polygamy are considered acceptable, and gender identity is very flexible. Species-based xenophobia tends to be the bigger social ill and even with that, many are against it. The species that are most disliked and distrusted are Durlans, Daxamites, and Roboticans. ✦ Beyond sticking to those basics, don't worry about getting anything "wrong." It's a meme and people tend to say stupid things on memes. You can even make up fake species and planets and details about them. The UP is huge and has lots of planets and species not mentioned in the game info.

✦ You can pretend to write things from the POV of Legion staff sharing the deets on the Legionnaires. However, they wouldn't share tactical info on the Legionnaires that could get them hurt in battle, only juicy gossip. Also, if someone is writing from the POV of Legion staff and writes something about your character that your character doesn't actually do, keep in mind that half the time people make shit up. It'll just be false gossip.

✦ Try to keep anything that can't be put behind a link sfw. While you can write someone sharing the start of their steamy slash fanfic, try to keep it limited to just part of it. Linking to fanart as if it was made in universe is a-okay, but just make sure to put it under a link and warn if it it's nsfw. Please check character ages before posting any nsfw stuff to make sure they're over 18.

✦ Feel free to get really crazy. Fandom gets crazy and fandom is no different in the glorious robot future. There are normal posters, shitposters, trolls, rpf ficcers, stans, slashers, all the same things our time has. There are macros and gifs and ongoing fake memes you can make up. There will be a few preposted topics but you can make up new ones or just have anons create new topics or troll.

✦ The meme is generally modless and has no thread-freezing. Fandom plays it dangerous in the future and the ic mod rarely intervenes, though anons sometimes try to get them to. Anon comments can be deleted by the real mods at the request of players (like say if they made a formatting mistake and want to repost) but there should be no need to delete anything beyond that since it's all IC.

We're actually way above our old membership numbers now, but that's probably a good thing. These guys really don't have the power of the older team, I think. Classics like Element Lad, Mon'el, Andromeda, Star Boy... Heck, even that team would probably wipe the floor with the new team. But I think it's been proven that they've got what it takes.

Speaking as a Naltoran, you can blow the Murderworld complaints out your nass. They've got heart. I only hope that now, a few weeks after the Murderworld footage has spread all over, we can look at them for who they are, not what they were forced to do.

This never would've come up with the Older Legion. They wouldn't've gotten sucked into whatever nonsense that started the whole mess!

Fourteen! It's pretty insane. I remember when there were only fourteen Legionnaires at all! It makes you wonder why any planetary governments even bother trying to maintain their own team the way Xanthu used to. The new Legion's big enough to cover them all.

I'm really hoping to see a lot of good things out of them! Paperboy's mom, more Armor family, the Gunslinger (I wonder if he'll be friends with Deadeye), Tracer, the rest... We'll just have to wait and see.

I really hope that Gunslinger and Deadeye are friends. It's important to me.

Sounds like a few of them know current Legionnaires. Or each other. Nice that they're not alone.
