With all due respect, anon...even if the original Legion had been here, you probably would have still lost people. People would have died on Naltor and in other disasters. Because the original Legion couldn't be everywhere at once, just like WE can't be everywhere at once.
I've looked over the information about the original Legion. They seem to be a great bunch of people and I'm sorry that we haven't gotten a chance to know them. But the one thing I can be confident in from what I know of them? They would be absolutely ashamed of all of you for taking the blame for this out on one person. One person who is their FRIEND, who is working as hard on getting them back as he is on making certain that we can get home. On making certain that the rest of the UP is protected at the same time.
Now. If I were him and came under this much ridicule and general nastiness on a regular basis? I'm not at all certain I could manage it. He could have walked away at any time. I probably would have, myself. God knows you guys would blame him no matter what his choice, but if he walked away he could at least ignore all of you. The fact that he hasn't shows he's a better person than any of you give him credit for. The fact that he keeps going day after day when this is out there waiting for him is proof that he's a better person than I am, certainly.
I am sorry for your loss. Truly I am. And I understand that, when things like that happen, when you lose people in something that should have been preventable, it's easy to look for a scapegoat, to find somebody you can point at and say that this wouldn't have happened if it hadn't been for this thing or this person. Having that person or thing to blame is easier than thinking that it might have happened anyway, no matter what other factors were in play. I get it. But I also feel that your anger, while understandable, is also unhelpful.
Anon -- Again, mostly.
