What do you look for in students?

At least a few of major components. Being a hero is difficult enough, but there's no reason to look for perfection.

The willingness to adapt.
Various degrees of observational skills.
Tenacity.
Patience.
An understanding of one's limits.
Courage.

Those are a few, but they're some of the most important qualities to me. People want to be heroes for whatever reason, but universally it's to help others who need it. It would be easier if you asked me what I don't want in a student.

Well, he's a special case. He's someone whose quirk clearly molded him into who he is. He has a lot of promise in terms of talent, but you could say that he doesn't quite resemble the sort of hero I'd like him to be, yet.

He's going to be the sort of student who could probably make me lose my job if I lower my guard.

You're right about that.

Fortunately, if I'm removed due to absence, I could reapply and likely get a teaching position again if they believe the insane story I would be able to tell them.

Both. It's pointless to be biased if you intend to avoid actually getting up.
