THE IC ANON MEME RULES AND INFO ✦ Everything must be from an IC in-world perspective. The meme is specifically a Legion fandom meme. UP citizens, Legion World Staff, and Legionnaires all have access to the meme. While this meme is in the meme comm, it is real in the game universe and all the Legionnaires and the public can see ICly it. Rather than other ic anon memes where characters post to the meme, this meme operates like real world memes like rpanons. ✦ There are 3 ways to post. When posting as non-Legionnaires do it anon. When posting as Legionnaires that unwisely comment unanon, just do it logged in. If posting as Legionnaires going anon, do it logged in, but mark "anon" in the subject, so we know it's anon, but can have a laugh over which Legionnaires are secretly stanning or shitposting. ✦ Not necessarily a rule, but keep in mind that attitudes in the UP are different than our world. Most people are referred to generally as "people" or "sentients" instead of species-specific terms like "humans." Most racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, and other "ist" attitudes are now uncommon among most species in the UP. Many sexual orientations exist, polyamory and polygamy are considered acceptable, and gender identity is very flexible. Species-based xenophobia tends to be the bigger social ill and even with that, many are against it. The species that are most disliked and distrusted are Durlans, Daxamites, and Roboticans. If you want to use them for fun, common UP cursewords have been added to the Legion Basics page. ✦ Beyond sticking to those basics, don't worry about getting anything "wrong." It's a meme and people tend to say stupid things on memes. You can even make up fake species and planets and details about them. The UP is huge and has lots of planets and species not mentioned in the game info. ✦ You can pretend to write things from the POV of Legion staff sharing the deets on the Legionnaires. However, they wouldn't share tactical info on the Legionnaires that could get them hurt in battle, only juicy gossip. Also, if someone is writing from the POV of Legion staff and writes something about your character that your character doesn't actually do, keep in mind that half the time people make shit up. It'll just be false gossip. ✦ Try to keep anything that can't be put behind a link sfw. While you can write someone sharing the start of their steamy slash fanfic, try to keep it limited to just part of it. Linking to fanart as if it was made in universe is a-okay, but just make sure to put it under a link and warn if it it's nsfw. Please check character ages before posting any nsfw stuff to make sure they're over 18. ✦ Feel free to get really crazy. Fandom gets crazy and fandom is no different in the glorious robot future. There are normal posters, shitposters, trolls, rpf ficcers, stans, slashers, all the same things our time has. There are macros and gifs and ongoing fake memes you can make up. There will be a few preposted topics but you can make up new ones or just have anons create new topics or troll. ✦ The meme is generally modless and has no thread-freezing. Fandom plays it dangerous in the future and the ic mod rarely intervenes, though anons sometimes try to get them to. Anon comments can be deleted by the real mods at the request of players (like say if they made a formatting mistake and want to repost) but there should be no need to delete anything beyond that since it's all IC.

Multi-murder you mean. I'm not convinced it was an accident. He is a Brainiac. For all we know, infiltrating the Legion and destroying them from the inside was some evil Brainiac plan all along.

I feel bad for all the displacee Legionnaires. Who knows what he's planning to do to them.

If his plan was to infiltrate and destroy the Legion, don't you think he's smart enough to do it without suspicion falling on him? Because setting things up so that suspicion does not fall on you is Criminal Mastermind 101, and I see very little benefit to him doing all that work and then allowing suspicion to fall on him.

Brainiac 5 isn't a bad person. He didn't mean for the device he made to make the Legion disappear and it might not have even been his fault. No one knows what really caused it.

The rest of the Legionnaires still trust him and that should be enough for everyone.

Aww don't hate Nova Prime. I mean, Doubletime actually seems like an ass from the staff gossip threads but all the staff gossipers say Nova Prime's like one of the sweetest displacee Legionnaires. One of the laundry ladies said he insists on doing his own laundry when they have staff for that just so they don't have extra work.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he really doesn't belong in the field like. at all. It's not like his power does anything. A smart villain would just pop a few shots his way and we'd likely lose a few useful people when they tried to protect him.

Ten to one says that if the Legion weren't hurting for people, he'd have been rejected. The Substitute Legion probably wouldn't even take him, and they'll take anybody.
