THE IC ANON MEME RULES AND INFO ✦ Everything must be from an IC in-world perspective. The meme is specifically a Legion fandom meme. UP citizens, Legion World Staff, and Legionnaires all have access to the meme. While this meme is in the meme comm, it is real in the game universe and all the Legionnaires and the public can see it ICly. Rather than other ic anon memes where characters post starters to the meme, this meme operates like real world memes like rpanons. ✦ There are 3 ways to post. When posting as non-Legionnaires, do it anon. When posting as Legionnaires that unwisely comment unanon, just do it logged in. If posting as Legionnaires going anon, do it logged in, but mark "anon" in the subject, so we know it's anon, but can have a laugh over which Legionnaires are secretly stanning or shitposting. ✦ Not necessarily a rule, but keep in mind that attitudes in the UP are different than our world. Most people are referred to generally as "people" or "sentients" instead of species-specific terms like "humans." Most racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, and other "ist" attitudes are now uncommon among most species in the UP. Many sexual orientations exist, polyamory and polygamy are considered acceptable, and gender identity is very flexible. Species-based xenophobia tends to be the bigger social ill and even with that, many are against it. The species that are most disliked and distrusted are Durlans, Daxamites, and Roboticans. If you want to use them for fun, common UP cursewords are on the Legion Basics page. ✦ Beyond sticking to those basics, don't worry about getting anything "wrong." It's a meme and people tend to say stupid things on memes. You can even make up fake species and planets and details about them. The UP is huge and has lots of planets and species not mentioned in the game info. ✦ You can pretend to write things from the POV of Legion staff sharing the deets on the Legionnaires. However, they wouldn't share tactical info on the Legionnaires that could get them hurt in battle, only juicy gossip. Also, if someone is writing from the POV of Legion staff and writes something about your character that your character doesn't actually do, keep in mind that half the time people make shit up. It'll just be false gossip. ✦ Try to keep anything that can't be put behind a link sfw. While you can write someone sharing the start of their steamy slash fanfic, try to keep it limited to just part of it. Linking to fanart as if it was made in universe is a-okay, but just make sure to put it under a link and warn if it it's nsfw. Please check character ages before posting any nsfw stuff to make sure they're over 18. ✦ Feel free to get really crazy. Fandom gets crazy and fandom is no different in the glorious robot future. There are normal posters, shitposters, trolls, rpf ficcers, stans, slashers, all the same things our time has. There are macros and gifs and ongoing fake memes you can make up. There will be a few preposted topics but you can make up new ones or just have anons create new topics or troll. ✦ The meme is generally modless and has no thread-freezing. Fandom plays it dangerous in the future and the ic mod rarely intervenes, though anons sometimes try to get them to. Anon comments can be deleted by the real mods at the request of players (like say if they made a formatting mistake and want to repost) but there should be no need to delete anything beyond that since it's all IC. ✦ This anon meme is set shortly after the events of "Gods Among Us", "To Have and To Hold", and "The Other Mother." Unfortunately for the shippers, "To Have and To Hold" was done with Legionnaires entirely undercover. Similarly, "Gods Among Us" and "The Other Mother" largely took place in alternate timelines or dimensions, meaning that those are generally unknown as well. The last really public Legion Mission was "The Spy Who Sprocked Us", in which the entire mission was made public after the fact, and the fallout of it has lead to some public outcry against the officials, but not the planets, involved in the betrayal to the Heralds of Chronoblivion. "Through The Looking Glass" lacks any complete recordings, as most recording technology was transformed by Tsarista's magic, but that doesn't mean that people couldn't have seen and remembered the transformations and what the Legionnaires did during. Justice got caught in it and, while he's an absolutely adorable (and a bit shy) kid? He was injured when he showed up and Speedball brought him to medical.

Now, I've probably written SO MUCH hurt/comfort of those two, but Speedball's just being a TOTAL big brother to him and now it just feels weird.

On the other hand, Sentinel came to visit Justice in the medbay and I might have a new ship out of it.

Well, no. Judging by bone structure, Justice is still a few years from adulthood. But it's still weird to see. Possibly because it's very much a departure from the way that they normally function together.
