A lack of confidence in his own intelligence is probably less Donnie's issue than the fact that having to explain or prove it to people gets tedious, especially to people who lack the sense to recognize the difference between potential wasted and potential that simply hasn't had the potential to be properly tapped. "Ignorance isn't the same thing as stupidity, but I'm seeing a lot of the latter from somewhere in this room."

Hey, at least the snacks are pretty good.

"I'd assume they screen for that kind of thing before they serve it at a party with this many species in attendance, but..." Warning, nerd tangent incoming. "On the other hand, they're not used to having all of our species around to worry about. But that depends on how different we all are at the genetic level, and..."
