Why does it not surprise her to hear annihilation was knocking at these folks doors? It was no different from home really. It was just a grander scale of a world. And grander monsters to match. And she had no doubt destruction crept at the edges like she'd seen in so many worlds before this one.

It's almost saddening. But then, what else did she expect from a world that needed people like them to help out?

She doesn't let the doom and gloom bring her down too much, though. It could easily bog anyone down. But it was better not to drag them both into it. If they were to help them, they'd need some hope on their side. And while she was here, she did intend to help. Even if the people here were a little stuffy.

"I think we can more than prove ourselves," She told him with a bit of a smirk. "We're here to save them after all. Even if they're going to treat us like that." She jerked her thumb in the direction of the dignitary from before who still seemed to be casting glares.

"So you've learned a lot about the Legion before we got here?" She never had the patience for reading.
