"Hah," She laughs out loud, a sharp and derisive sound. "I would take that bet if I didn't know for certain I'd be out whatever amount in the currency that's here." She's still trying to figure that out.

"So what do you think about all this?" She spreads her arms out at the crowd. "The 'heroes for the government' sort of business. This is probably the first time I've seen it quite like this."

Mercenaries are everywhere, even in her world. It was different with mercenaries, though. They were extensions of armies. Heroes? They were something... better wasn't quite right but it was close enough. Especially with their rules about not killing. They were more like parents. Maintaining law and order with a steady hand careful words. At least, that was the vibe she was getting.

Maybe it was all in her head, but this other guy seemed to be thinking more along the same lines as her so far.
