It's enough that Jaune does have his shield in front of his face, just in case, lowering it slowly as the laser eyes seem to fade. He won't lie that it is a little strange. The technology here is a bit different than what he's used to.

He gives his head a shake though, recovering enough to figure out how best to use all those things, even if most of it went over his head and he's working on assumptions. There's not a lot of time to ask for a full explanation after all.

"Touch, huh? I don't really have a lot of long distance attacks, so that puts me at a disadvantage, but if you can trip them up with the webs, I can probably cut them down."

He can launch his shield, but that's not going to do much here. But that sounds like something of a plan. Jaune will just have to trust to his own reflexes after that. And they are better.
