Her last known location, in the world where she came from, was in a collective of AIs that resided in Maine's head. Coming here has changed some things, and seeing Maine without his armor over there makes her think he may have been punished upon his arrival here, or something similar. She can't take chances, though the fact that he does lack his armor puts her at more of an advantage here than she had back home. So she decides to face the situation head-on, confront him, and see where they stand, before making the decision to just outright avoid him.

So she approaches, a black-armored robot in Freelancer armor, just as Maine would have known her back during the days of the Project. "Who's in charge?" she demands once she's approached him. If it's Sigma, it significantly impacts the way she'll relate to Maine during their time here—namely, she'll be keeping her distance.
