Yes, Alessandro had glanced at the dragon in short order and made an equally short assessment. He'd given the subject longer thought when he'd previously seen it. More pet than man, he doubted his touch would have any effect on the creature, not that it would matter in a fight. He'd likely be eaten first. But it posed no threat and wouldn't, provided its owner kept to the rules. Being afraid of something that posed no current threat was worse impractical.

Now his own "uniform" had both a cravat and a frock coat. He wished for a monocle but reluctantly admitted it was too impractical. So there was no gazing at this one through it.
