There's a flash of anger at the boy's face at his words. It seemed completely out of place for anyone who doesn't know Dio. But it's only there for the briefest moments until Dio smooths his face into something more palatable.

His palms, however, have half-moon indents where his nails have impressed themselves tightly, manifesting his outrage at this stranger's words when he implied that he'd be left if he can't keep up. Those aren't the kind of words to be said to him. In fact, the last time someone said that kind of shit to him he practically beat them up, so as far as he's concerned, it's an assault to his pride.

For now, he just smiles and stops grinding his teeth as he follows him.

"That's not going to be a problem."

For now, he should juts focus on making sure he doesn't lose his temper and quietly observe this man. It's strange how he paused when he first saw him. That's something to be explored, as far as he's concerned.

He glances quickly at their surroundings. Frowns at the massive ... vehicles that they seem to be coming out of, and the smaller ones that the soldiers seem to be landing on the ground at a distance.

"Can you pilot one of those?"
